Using your IRA to fund a CGA
New legislation has created the opportunity for qualified IRA holders ages 70½ and older to fund a gift annuity, a charitable remainder annuity trust, or a charitable remainder unitrust by making a one-time election for a qualified charitable distribution of up to $50,000 during a single calendar year. Charitable Remainder Trusts
Charitable Remainder Trusts offer income for life for you and your family while reducing your taxes and supporting the Seraphic Mass Association.
By using assets or cash to fund the trust, you receive income and an income tax credit the year in which you transfer your assets. The remaining portion of the trust, after all payments have been made, comes to the Seraphic Mass Association.
